Sofia Braga (Parma, 1991) vive e lavora a Linz (Austria). Sviluppa la sua ricerca artistica come una cyberstalker, tra pratiche digitali e post-digitali, concentrandosi in particolare sulla materialità del web e sull’impatto sociale delle interfacce della rete. Laureata in Arti Visive presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, frequenta attualmente il Master Interface Cultures presso l’Università di Arte e Design di Linz. Nel 2019 è stata artista residente all’IAMAS – Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences di Ōgaki, in Giappone, e ha curato l’Internet Yami-Ichi ad Ars Electronica Festival (Linz, AT) e la sua prima edizione italiana a Bologna presso DAS – Dispositivo Arti Sperimentali in collaborazione con Metoché. Le sue opere sono state esposte tra gli altri al Festival Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria), The Wrong – The New Digital Art Biennale, Pinacoteca dell’Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti (Torino, Italia), Deutsche Bank (Milano, Italia), Xie Zilong Photography Museum (Changsha, Cina), XII Video Vortex Conference (La Valletta, Malta), Speculum Artium (Trbovlje, SIovenia) e Link Cabinet (Italia).

Sofia Braga (Parma, 1991) is an Italian artist based in Linz (Austria).
She develops her artistic research at the intersection between Digital, Post-Digital practices and cyberstalking, focusing especially on the materiality of the web and the social impact of web interfaces.
She graduated in Visual Arts (BA, MA) at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and is currently attending the Interface Cultures master program at the University of Art and Design of Linz.
In 2019 she was artist in residence at IAMAS – Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences in Ōgaki, Japan, and she curated the Internet Yami-Ichi at Ars Electronica Festival and its first Italian edition in Bologna. Her works have been exhibited at Ars Electronica Festival (Linz, Austria), The Wrong – The New Digital Art Biennale, Pinacoteca Albertina di Torino (Italy), Deutsche Bank (Milan, Italy), Xie Zilong Photography Museum (Changsha, China), XII Video Vortex Conference (La Valletta, Malta), Speculum Artium (Trbovlje, SIovenia), Link Cabinet (Italy) and more.
